Eintracht Frankfurt has expanded its sports offerings to include golf as a new option for athletes to practice their favorite sport in the Rhein-Main region with the eagle on their chest. The sports offer now encompasses training opportunities, tournaments and, starting with the 2024 season, team registrations in the league of the Hessen Golf Association (HGV). Both beginners and those at a competitive level are welcome to participate in this exciting offer.
"In recent years, golf has gained ground as a popular and healthy sport, regarded less and less as an elitist sport and more as a sport for everyone. As a diverse and welcoming club, we provide a home for a variety of sports and also seek to promote golf in the Rhein-Main region," said Dieter Burkert, executive committee member and head of mass sports at Eintracht Frankfurt.
To achieve this goal, Eintracht Frankfurt has partnered with the Hessen Golf Association, which has more than 60 clubs and operators as well as more than 50,000 golfers. The Golfpark Gut Hühnerhof in Gründau will serve as the host club, with which a cooperation agreement has been established in this context.
